Working with Ashland Cabinet takes seven steps, from the first phone call to the day you unpack and entertain. Here is exactly what happens at each one, in the words we share with every homeowner who calls our Southborough showroom.

Step 1: Dream and prepare

Whether you want a new kitchen or bathroom, new home office, a small room refresher, man cave or study, fireplace surround, or whatever you're dreaming of, it's important for you to think first. Things to think about: What do you like or dislike about the room? Do you want a full renovation, new construction, or smaller refresh? How does your current space function for you and how would you like the new space to function? One more important thing to think about: Decide what your budget is. Whatever you decide about your budget, we will always help you and guide you to get what you want within your budget. We never, repeat never, try to talk you into spending more than you decide you can.

Step 2: Getting to know you

When you're ready to meet with us, call our showroom at 508.303.8100 to set up your in-home consultation with our expert designers. We'll arrive on time, measuring tape in hand. We'll get to know you and your style (that's the best way for us to deliver what you want!). We will listen closely to what you like (or don't like) about your current kitchen (or bath or other living space), offer information based on our decades of experience, ask questions so we get the full picture, and take some key measurements. Before we leave, we'll answer your questions and discuss the next steps so you know what to expect.

Step 3: Getting it down on paper

Our expert designers create the design for your kitchen, bathroom, or other cabinet project. They use all the information you shared at your in-home consultation and translate that into a creative design for your home. Part of the design process is developing a cost picture, or budget, for the design. This will serve as a guide for you when you meet with the designers to review and discuss the design.

Step 4: Your design appointment

When the initial design is ready, you will receive a call from our showroom manager to set up an appointment to discuss the design. You'll have plenty of opportunity to get all your questions answered at the meeting with the designers.

Step 5: Choosing colors and styles

Now it's time to sit down, face-to-face, to consult with our experienced designers. They will walk you through the design, step by step, and answer all your questions. They will also review the cost picture, or budget, for your new design. When you have settled on the design and budget together with the designers, it's time for the next step in this exciting process. It's time to choose the cabinet styles, colors, and hardware! Take advantage of our extensive new showroom displays to help you imagine the possibilities and choose the cabinets that best fit your style, home, budget, and family.

Step 6: Ordering your cabinets

After you've chosen your cabinet styles and colors, and the hardware to enhance them, it's time for us to get on the phone. We will order your cabinets and hardware and let you know when we'll be there to install them. Mark it on your calendar!

Step 7: The moment you've waited for

Your cabinets have arrived! Our expert in-house installation team arrives at your home as expected to install your new cabinets. Yes, we have our own installation teams - we don't outsource such an important job to just anyone. We are proud to say that our installers have been with us for years - they are that good. They will do a meticulous job of installing your cabinets according to the design we created for you. After they are finished, it'll be time for your contractor to complete the finishing touches. There's a light at the end of this tunnel, and it's getting brighter and brighter!

Step 8: You're Done! Invite your friends.

The cabinets are in, the details finished. Take a moment and look around to bask in your newly created living space. Now it's time to unpack and entertain!
