Getting Started
Do I need an appointment to visit the showroom?
Yes. The showroom is open by appointment only so you get undivided, patient, focused attention. Our hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM. Call 508.303.8100 to set up a private designer consultation.
Is the in-home consultation free?
Yes. The in-home consultation is free. There is a fee for the design itself, and we will walk you through it at your consultation.
How does the process start?
Step 1 is yours: think about what you like or dislike about the room, whether you want a full renovation, new construction, or a smaller refresh, and decide your budget. Then call to book an in-home consultation.
What happens at the in-home consultation?
We arrive on time, measuring tape in hand, get to know you and your style, listen to what you like and don't like, ask questions, and take key measurements. Before we leave we discuss next steps.
Do you take on small projects?
Yes. From a small kitchen refresher to a fireplace surround to a full-scale custom kitchen build, you receive our full attention.
Design & Budget
Will you try to sell me more than I want?
No. We never, repeat never, try to talk you into spending more than you decide you can. We guide you to get what you want within your budget.
How is the design created?
Our designers use everything you shared at the consultation to create a design for your home and develop a cost picture, or budget, that guides the design review.
When do I see the design?
When the initial design is ready, our showroom manager calls to set up a design appointment where the designers walk you through it step by step and answer your questions.
Which of your cabinet lines are custom and which are semi-custom?
Dura Supreme and Cabico Unique are custom lines. Cabico Essence is semi-custom. RiverRun and Fabuwood are stock and semi-custom lines.
Will I see a 3D rendering of my design?
Yes. Every project gets a 3D rendering, so you can see your design before anything is ordered.
How much does a new kitchen cost?
Every quote is custom and fit to your project, so we don't publish a price range. You'll get your quote after your consultation.

Where do I choose cabinet styles, colors, and hardware?
In our Southborough showroom, using extensive displays to imagine the possibilities and choose what fits your style, home, budget, and family.
Which hardware brands do you carry?
Top Knobs, Berenson, and Amerock.
Installation & Remodels
Who installs the cabinets?
Our own in-house installation teams. We don't outsource such an important job, and our installers have been with us for years.
What happens after your installers finish?
Your contractor completes the finishing touches. Then it's time to unpack and entertain.
How long does it take for cabinets to arrive?
On average, 3 to 9 weeks from order, whether it's new construction or a remodel. Custom cabinets can vary.
How long does installation take?
Installing cabinets in new construction takes about a day and a half. A remodel takes longer, typically 6 to 8 weeks.
Do you remove the old cabinets?
We can, or your contractor can. Either way works.
Do you do full remodels or just cabinets?
Both. We can install your cabinets while your contractor handles the rest, or take on the full remodel and bring in subcontractors for the other work.

Do you offer financing?
No, we don't offer financing.
What payment methods do you accept?
Check, credit card, ACH and wire transfer.

Do you sell countertops?
We don't sell countertops. We work with countertop companies and are happy to recommend one.
Do you deliver?
Yes. We deliver cabinets, and pickup is available too.
Can I buy cabinets without installation?
Yes. We sell cabinets without installation.
Do you offer cabinet refacing or refinishing?
Yes, we do.

Do you work with contractors, architects and interior designers?
Yes.
What warranty do you offer?
Your cabinets carry the manufacturer's warranty, and Ashland Cabinet covers our installation labor for one year.
